Cosmetology, Spas, Barbershops

TMHD licenses hair salons, barber shops, spas and manicure/pedicure facilities, and tanning salons. Inspections are conducted according to the health district cosmetology code or when a complaint is filed with the health district. The purpose of the inspections is to ensure that sanitary conditions are being met and to reduce the likelihood of disease transition.
